Kate Blair Yoga!



HEY!

Thanks for checking out my blog! KateBlairYoga is intended to be a space for words, images, and conversation in and around my yoga teaching and practice. I am a teacher, mom, partner, yoga instructor, yoga student, music lover and social activist currently based in western Massachusetts. I believe in doing what I can in the time and space I have to improve the lives of others.

Yoga is one avenue for creating this healthy, positive change.

I do yoga. I like finding ways to help others see that they can do yoga too. It feels good to move, and we don't need the scads of research out there to know that MOVEMENT IS GOOD FOR YOU. So is breathing. Yet moving and breathing seem to be falling by the wayside these days. We get so caught up in life stuff that we sometimes overlook the most essential aspects of existing. And I'm definitely one of those people who usually benefits from constant, gentle reminders to tend to the basics.

Move. Breathe. Find your center.

I hope you find ways to do those things. To make it in this world, it seems so important, now more than ever, to care for ourselves. To put on our own oxygen mask first before we tend to the needs of others. We can't help others, or do much of anything, really, if we don't care for and nurture ourselves.
